Leaping Lizards Service Project
The Leaping Lizards class decided to make "care packages" for the homeless as our service project this year. Our Kindergarteners and 1st Graders have been learning about how sharing the Good News helps us both grow in our relationship with the Lord and serve others. We decided as a class this project would be a great way to put that into practice.
We collected close to $170.00 in donations and have used that money to purchase enough supplies to put together 20 care packages. The care packages will include beef jerky, instant hand warmers, toothbrush kits, gloves, water, oatmeal, baby wipes, bandaids, cough drops, and a protein bar. During class this Sunday, October 8th, we will take some time to put together the care packages. We'll distribute the care packages to the Leaping Lizard's families at check-out and they will then be able to hand them out.
Ms. Brianna and I love our K & 1st Grade Students and are so thrilled to see them learning and excited about sharing the gospel through word and action.
