Explore the Bible at Home - Week of February 25
Dear Parents, Guardians, Grandparents,
This week your kids learned about Jesus calling twelve men commonly known as "the disciples" to follow Him. Just as Andrew, Peter, James, John, and the others followed Jesus in His mission of seeking the lost, we also can follow Him. We can share the good news of Jesus with others. As a family, talk about how you can join Jesus in His mission. Here is this week's "Explore the Bible at Home" handout!

Jesus Called Disciples, Matthew 4:18-25; 9:9-13; 10:2-4
One day Jesus entered the region of Galilee and began to preach to the people about the gospel. He called for the people to repent.
While walking by the Sea of Galilee, Jesus saw two fishermen, Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea when Jesus called to them, “Follow Me and you will fish for people!” Peter and Andrew immediately followed Jesus.
Jesus saw more fishermen. James and his brother John were in a boat with their dad fixing their fishing nets. Jesus called to James and John. The men followed Jesus.
Later Jesus saw a tax collector, Matthew. Matthew was working in his tax office. Jesus told Matthew, “Follow Me.” Matthew got up and followed Jesus.
Jesus called twelve disciples to follow Him. Their names were Simon Peter, Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Matthew, James, Thaddaeus, Simon, and Judas.
